“(Rev. 10-90) United States Department of the Interior National Park Service Olmsted Falls Depot, Olmsted Falls, Cuyahoga County, Ohio Section number The Olmsted Falls Depot is significant under Criterion C as an intact example of 19t century railroad architecture. It displays all the characteristics of a typical small town Lake Shore and Michigan Southern depot from this period: wood construction, simple linear form, massive overhanging bracketed eaves. vertical siding, small projecting station agent's bay on the track side for observing trains, simple floor plan the Olmsted Falls Depot retains its architectural integrity and setting, and therefore meets Criteria Background History: In January the Toledo, Norwalk and Cleveland Railroad was opened for use.”
